Identification of the specimen : It is particularly difficult to hold the literature allowing to identify all the
insects that we offer. Also we have started to associate every specimen of our list to a
picture allowing you to visualize the insect in
question.
The search module : You have on every page a research tool (‘‘Search’’)
located in the top right of the page. This module enables you to type the Latin name or a part of it and being brought directly to the page of the
catalogue where the insect you are looking for appears. You can also type the family to which
it belongs (for example Cerambycidae) and being led to the general
list of this family.
Language and currency choice : The home page of our site gives you the possibility to choose among 8 languages and 13
currencies. |

Guarantee of quality
In order to guarantee the
quality of all the specimens we offer, all the insects that we
receive are systematically frozen for 48 hours, then softened,
controlled one by one, dehydrated and repacked on boards or in
envelopes adapted to safe transportation.
Every packing is labeled with the essential scientific collecting data: latin name of the specimen (when identified) as well as its collecting place and date. |

available for sale as well as for trade.
In order to be able to propose our customers the most exhaustive offer, we
continuously seek for new suppliers and new insects species through purchases or exchanges.
Any insect may interest us ; also, do not hesitate to send us your exchange offers by e-mail as well as the lists of insects you are looking for.
Exchanges are made on the same price basis in order to be
equitable for each part. Generally speaking we choose a catalogue (it can be our
or a competitor's one) which contain all the insects
concerned by the exchange.
We also seek any aberration, gynandromorph and
terratological specimens. |

All the 6.000 references have their availability given in real time and the price (in the
currency of your choice) is reactualized once per hour according to the
fluctuations of the interbank exchange rates.
As soon as an article is no longer
available, it is automatically withdrawn from the available items.
In the same way it is not possible to order more
than the quantities really in stock.
This Internet site is equipped of a
particularly interesting tool which allows to
require an alarm by email as soon as an insect becomes
again available. For that you just have to click on the symbol located in end of line. As soon as we return
of new insects in the data base, you are informed by mall in the

mail of confirmation. Thereafter, as soon as your order
is prepared, you will automatically receive a mail informing you of the
shipment of the ordered products.

Products of quality: all the insects which we receive are
systematically softened, frozen to eliminate any risk from parasite,
controlled one by then repacked by our care. Shipments are
carried out in very strong and rigid carton boxes where the plates or envelopes
containing the insects are laid out with the greatest care and are
protected by cotton or bubble paper. |

We guarantee the quality of all our
insects : if, in spite of the care that we bring to
control the insects and to the preparation of our parcels, a defect has
escaped to our vigilance or a specimen was damaged at the time of
transport, you give you 8 days after
reception of your parcel to inform us about the problem. We will carry out then an exchange or
a refunding under 8 days if this insect is temporarily
out of stock. |

The payment to measure |
Payment by credit card : it is by far the fastest and surest means of payment.
It guarantees you that all the specimens that you selected
are available and will be sent to you as soon as possible. We
accept American Express cards, Visa
cards, Eurocard Mastercard as well as JCB cards.
You prefer to pay by cheque? You just have to select this means of payment when validating your
order. You receive an automatic pro forma invoice by e-mail after you have completed your order. You then have 8 days to forward to us
your cheque labeled in the name of SIERRA.
You to wish to pay by bank swift : just like the payments by cheque, you select the option ‘‘bank swift’’ at
the time of the validation of your order. As soon as you receive
our pro forma invoice by e-mail, you have a 10 days
deadline to carry out the transfer. Please do not forget to mention the reference of your pro forma invoice on the transfer document.
The Western Union transfer : present in more than 110 countries and 150.000 agencies, Western Union makes allows you to pay your order in

In case of vacancy a
transit advice note is left in your mail box.
For the EEC members countries : your
parcel is delivered to you within 1 to 3 days depending on the country
where you reside. For all the other countries (Eastern Europe, United States, Asia,
Japan…) : count an average of 2 to 5
wrought days after the delay of preparation of the order.
Note: all the deadlines get along except non wrought days
(Saturday, Sunday and public holidays).

OUR ENGAGEMENTS |

Respect of environment |
All the insects which we propose are species
which are not threatened of extinction. The ‘’rare’’ or ‘’very rare’’ species that we propose are rare in the collections but not
obviously rare in nature. They are generally very localised or
come from not collected or difficult access areas.
Selling them is not in any case a threat for environment.
We do not sell species prohibited on the
French territory.
Washington Convention (CITES) : Some Papilionidae belongs to CITES species whose trade is
regulated by the Washington Convention (Appendix II B). These
specimens are not threatened of extinction but could
become it if they were not protected. The specimen we sell are
issued from breeding and are imported with the agreement of the
government of their country of origin, the Environment Ministry and the French Custom.
All are sold with mention of the importation authorization number (CITES) and the date of delivery of this
permit.
For the customers resident apart from EEC we must ask for a re-exportation CITES at the French Environment Ministry and join the original of this
document to your parcel. This additional formality lengthens of about fifteen days the time of preparation of your
order. |

Guaranteed satisfaction |
| You have 8 days as from the reception to inform us about any problem that you may notice. If an insect has been damaged during transportation or
its quality doesn't fit to what you ordered, you may ask its
exchange or refunding. In the same way, in the case of a refunding, Sierra commits itself refunding you in the 8
days, that follows the reception of the damaged specimen. We will use the same way of payment you used to refund you the money. |
