Quality and conditioning
All the insects presented on this site are
dried specimens for private collections, scientific studies or for decoration.
Each specimen is provided with the usual
indications : name, date and place of capture.
Except contrary indication, all are in perfect quality (A1). They are packed not prepared. |

Prices |
The prices are indicated in Euros net of
tax and transportation costs or in the currency which you will have to
choose beforehand.
You can choose to consult our price lists in the currency of your
country from our home page or by clicking
on the converter located on every page of our site.
The exchange rate between the other currencies and Euro is automatically updated once per hour by our
server.
In this case the equivalent in Euros of the total amount
will be indicated as an indication in your basket. This amount does
not hold account of the commission of exchange which will perceive
your bank at the time of the payment nor of the light possible
variation of the exchange rate between the moment or you place your
order and the moment the operation is transmitted to the bank
(evening).
Insofar as we use the services of a secured
server, you will be invoiced in Euros, at the
exact exchange rate of the evening of the day you placed your
order.
We reserve ourselves the right to modify our prices constantly,
but we commit ourselves applying the prices in force at the time of your order. |

Taxes and custom rights |
The custom documents attached to every parcel bound
for the foreigner recapitulate the total value of the contents of your
order and the description of the articles.
The custom or importation taxes are due as soon as the
parcel reached its destination country. You must discharge
possible additional taxes of custom clearance. We do not have
any control on these taxes and can't forecast them, the
customs policies strongly varying from one country to another.
Please contact your local custom office for further
information.
Deliveries in European Union
All the dried insects sold on our Web site
are subjected to a 5,5% VAT's rate. The entomological equipment as
well as the "Insectes à la Beauchesne" are subjected to a 19,6% VAT's rate.
If you are delivered in a European Union country, you will not have to pay any additional taxes or other import duties.
The 27 countries belonging to European Union are:
Germany, Austria, Belgium,
Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania,
Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic,
Romania, the United Kingdom, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden.
Deliveries in the DOM-TOM
According to the tax law, the articles
delivered in the DOM-TOM are paid net of tax. The local
custom administration is free to invoice you the VAT.
Deliveries outside European Union
All the products intended to be delivered outside
European Union are invoices net of tax.
The local custom administration is free to invoice you the import duties or other importation taxes. Those diverge radically according to the countries.
Customs duties can be claimed to you according to the laws
relating to the specific imports to your country. For the
American citizens, please note that the FDA can add a COD tax approximately 50 USD because of the reinforcement
of the frontier check to the U.S.A. |

Washington Convention (CITES) |
|
| |
Some Papilionidae belongs to species whose trade is regulated by the Washington Convention
(Appendix II B). These specimens are not threatened of extinction but could become it if they were not protected. The specimens we offer are issued of breeding and are imported with the agreement of
their country of origin government, the french Environment Ministry and the French Custom.
All are sold with mention of the importation authorization number (CITES) thus
corresponding with the date of delivery of this
licence.
For the customers resident apart from EEC we must apply for a
Re-exportation CITES by the Environment Ministry and join the original of this document to your parcel.
This additional formality lengthens about fifteen
days the times of preparation of your order. |

| After having selected your language as well as the
currency of your country, you can reach the catalogues and place your
order. |

Use of the fast search module |
| When you seek an insect whose you know the name or
a part of the name but not the family which it belongs to, it is
enough for you to type the key word in the research module and you
will obtain instantaneously the list of all the articles containing
this key word. In the same way you can obtain the list by family
or source of all the insects present on the site. |

How to add an article to your basket ? |
| It is very easy to select an insect which you wish to
order. There for you just have to enter
the requested quantity in the box located at the end of the line
and to click on the Enter ‘‘key <--!’’ of
your keyboard. |

Consultation of the basket |
You can check any time the articles you have selected by clicking on the key ‘’MY BASKET’’ located in top right of each page.
The list of the articles you have selected appears, then the
total amount of your order (discount included) in the currency that you
selected. The equivalent in Euros is
also indicated to you aside.
Please note that the prices appearing on
www.sierra-entomology.com are given in euros and for
information in the currency of your choice. It is made
application of an once per hour updated exchange rate.
This rate may be slightly different from the one applied at the time of
the invoicing. |

Payment |
The price is immediately due at the date
from the order. You can carry out the payment by credit card, bank check, bank swift, international money order, Western Union or counters refunding (France only).
Our provider of secured payment (MERCANET) automatically
invoices you in Euros and Euros only.
Credit cards
It is by far the fastest and surest means of payment. It guarantees you that all the specimens that you
have selected are available and will be sent to you as soon as possible.
We accept Bleu cards, American Express cards, Visa cards, Eurocard Mastercard and JCB cards.
The cards issued by banks domiciled out of France must
obligatorily be international bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, CB,
Eurocard or JCB).
The secured online payment is extremely safe:
the seizure of your banking data is secured safe by
MERCANET. Information which you will seize (card number and
validity date) will be encrypted on your computer and will not
circulate "in light" on Internet. Your banking data only
circulate between banks. They are even never communicated to us
(only the 4 first and the 2 last numbers).
Caution: you are limited to a certain amount by your bank.
By cheque
The cheque has to be written out SIERRA's name and send by mail with
a copy of your pro forma invoice at the following address:
CAUTION: the order will be dispatched only when your
cheque is received, increasing the delivery period.
On the other hand refunding: the cash on the
delivery
Payment with reception with the factor.
After having chosen this option at the time of the validation of
your order, the total amount of this one will be automatically raised
of 15 Euros (fixed price of against refunding). Valid
for the Metropolitan France and Corsica only.
By Bank Swift
As soon as you receive our pro forma invoice by
e-mail, you will have 7 days to carry out the
transfer.
You must mention your invoice number number in the bank swift document.
The transfer charges are part of your duty.
The ordered material is dispatched to you as soon as we receive your payment.

By Western Union transfer :
After
reception of our pro forma invoice, you just need to go to the nearest Western Union agency with the amount of the invoice in cash. You will also asked to cover the transfer charges. Then send us by email the Money Transfer Control Number corresponding to your payment as well as the address you used on the transfer document.
Your payment is transmitted instantaneously and your parcel is
then dispatched the same day.
We draw your attention to the fact that apart from
the credit card payment, all the other terms of payment slow down
the course of treatment of your order.

AFTER THE PURCHASE |

Delay |
In order to be sure that insects are conveyed with the maximum
of care and with the best delay, all our parcels are dispatched
in partnership with CHRONOPOST INTERNATIONAL. A deliveryman
comes every evening to collect the parcels.
You have the possibility of tracking your parcel directly on Internet.
The delivery is made at the
address you mentionned when you place your order. All the
parcels are ensured according to their declared value and the risks are our conveyor's responsibility until delivery. The deliveries are carried out from Monday to Friday.
CAUTION: All the deliveries must be carried out at a
physical address (not a P.O. Box).
Generally speaking, the orders are treated the wrought
day which follows the day you placed your order. |

If you choose to pay by bank swift, international money order or by Western Union, the
order is treated only after reception of your payment which will delay the shipment consequently.

Please note that Chronopost International does not
deliver a parcel if the latter are addressed to a P.O. Box.
In such precise case, we will be obliged to dispatch your
parcel through the post office in ‘’Colissimo International’’. The delivery periods will be then variable
(4 to 12 days depending on the destination). |

You have 8 days from the reception to return an insect which would have been damaged during transportation or
whose quality would not correspond to what you ordered. In the same
way, Sierra will replace this item within 8 days or refund it if we can't proceed to its replacement. |

Returns and refunding |
| For the payments by cheque, bank swift or Western Union we will use the same way of payment to refund the money.
In the event of refunding, Sierra Entomology will refund you the
totality of your payment, except for the possible forwarding costs.
In case of credit card payment, it will appear 72 hours afterwards on your bank account.
In the event of exchange, we will cover the return transportation cost.
To carry out a return
Please let us know the the reasons of this return, if you wish to exchange the
product or if you prefer to get refunded.

We are not responsible for the returns lost by your
shipper. For all the parcels returned, it strongly advised to
use an insured way of transportation which allows the tracking of the parcel such as Colissimo, Chronopost, UPS, Fedex, TNT, etc.
Refunding
Please count a 3 days deadline wrought for the treatment of the returns.
You can consult the refunding of an article in Your account, by
visualizing the concerned order.
In the event of return for refunding, only the value of
the product is refunded, not the transportation costs.
If you paid your order :
by credit card : the refunding is directly credited on the account belonging to the credit card used for payment. It will appear 72 hours afterwards on your bank
account.
by bank check : a cheque corresponding
to the amount of refunding is sent to the person mentionned on the invoice.
by transfer (banking or Western Union) or payment against
refunding, please send us your banking data so that we
can carry out refunding.
Exchange
If you wish to exchange your article, we will cover the
forwarding costs.
By using the secured online MERCANET payment, unless by using a second time your credit card, we do not
have the possibility to invoice you a more expensive article on the previous payment. We can on the other hand refund you a
price balance, which will appear 72 hours afterwards on your
bank account.
At the end of this 8 days deadline, the products
delivered will be considered in conformity with your order and
accepted by you. |
